chapter 9 Apologies for the lateness of this update--I'm actally typing these words tuesday night at about 9:30, but our internet is dead and it looks like updating is going to be impossible until mooching off some other wireless network is possible (i.e. dragging my computer into the law library stacks tomorrow).
